Tom O'Toole - The 'Baker from Beechworth'

Tom O’Toole is the charismatic and inspirational ‘Baker from Beechworth’.  From a poorly performing regional bakery, O’Toole has built his business into one of Australia’s greatest success stories.

In his presentation, Tom O'Toole shares his story with the audience, telling how he took a bakery in a small dying isolated country town with a population of 3,000 people to a thriving business.  From a staff of two and an annual turnover of $100,000, O’Toole now employs 70 full and part timers in his Beechworth Bakery and has an annual turnover in excess of $4 million. The bakery's success has been attributed the revival of an entire community. Tom now has 6 bakeries in Regional Victoria with a combined annual turnover of over $12 million, employing 250 staff. His bakeries serve well over 1,000,000 customers per year.
